Visit Mind Museum
Ever since I was a kid, I have always been fascinated with the world of Science. Add to that, my mom always bought encyclopedias to add to our collection of books (I think though that encyclopedias were a thing back in 2000's).
So when December 2015 came, my boyfriend, Jem, and I planned out our visit on The Mind Museum by January. Good thing I scouted Metro Deal first to get a cheaper entrance fee for a whole day tour for two (cost us around PHP 900, I think).
The Mind Museum is located in BGC, Taguig and is quite accessible if you know how to get around that area. Mind you, read about BGC and its transportation scheme before going here, it all feels foreign and confusing. Anyway, The Mind Museum is a project of the non-profit Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc. and is dedicated to providing an extraordinary educational experience for the public in understanding science.

Upon presenting our coupons (Metro Deal vouchers have a different process before entering), we were gladly informed that we just arrived on time for the first live exhibit of the day: A Close Encounter with Wildlife. There were 2 speakers that day and they were very knowledgeable about the animals they have brought along with them.
I'm sorry I couldn't remember their names :(
They brought out various animals, ranging from an owl, to what was on the picture above, and to a rat. They were very accommodating and answered all of the questions some people from the audience raised.
After the exhibit, we wandered around the museum to check out the various displays they had.
A model of the human brain.
There were various buttons on the floor with the part of the brain written beside it. Once you step on it, the said part of the brain will light up! Pretty cool, especially for a biologist like me!
Their largest dinosaur fossil on display!
You'd have to climb up a few flights of stairs to get to this view and it's pretty fun!
Some man-made dinosaur imprints on the floor :)
One of their plenty interactive displays
This projector simply shows you on a CCTV sort-of look with various dinosaurs walking and running around the museum.
Space Corner
This area houses their displays that tackles the topic about space. This is definitely my favorite part since I have always been interested on studying what is beyond our planet. They have varying displays from the different phases of the moon up to the model of the fabric of spacetime!
#OOTD outer space style!
Jem on the Light Bridge!
This bridge houses the displays of the entire electromagnetic spectrum. It's concept is to understand the connection between space and time from the smallest to the biggest of things! (this was from their website HAHAHHA)
These are just roughly 30% of their displays so you still have plenty around to check out. Almost forgot! They also have these shows that are scheduled everyday that you can check out. The schedule is posted outside their mini theaters and also on their front desk. For your reference, here's how it looks :)
If you get tired from wandering inside the museum, worry not since Jollibee is just right outside their entrance where you can grab something to eat and rest your tired soles. But wait, there's more! They still have displays outside! They have this sort-of activity area located in front of the ticketing booth where exhibitions changes from month to month. If I remember correctly, this has a different entrance fee.
But if you don't want to cash out another extra peso, they also have this interactive park across the museum proper where you and the kids can enjoy! (Sorry, I don't have any pictures cause we were being too much of a kid running and playing around HAHA).
So that was our visit to The Mind Museum in Taguig!
