Laresio Lakeside: Resort for the Adrenaline Junkies!

Every once in a while, Jem and I look for some sort of activity which would pump some of our stored adrenaline; like watching a suspense film (mostly I do it alone) or going to the amusement park. This time we decided on visiting one of the rising destinations in Laguna, Laresio Lakeside Resort & Spa!

Actually, I've been eyeing this resort for some time now and when two of my Facebook friends said they have visited the place, I immediately told Jem about this place. As always, I scoured the internet to look for information and reviews about Laresio. Luckily, they have their own website which contains all the information you need.

They offer a camping package (which obviously what we took) which includes an overnight pass, all access to their extreme water activities, and a breakfast meal. It costed PHP 1000.00/person.

Camping Package of Laresio (check out their other packages here)

You can opt to purchase a ticket online or simply walk-in as resort's guests. Word of advice though, call ahead of time if you'll be availing a room for the night. We saw a couple who unfortunately got rejected since they were already fully booked for the day.

The resort is open 24/7 and access to the extreme water activities starts at 6AM and lasts until 6PM. We suggest that if you plan on visiting Laresio, be there by 6AM! This is so you could avoid lines (although there are not much) from the attractions and also so you could park your car properly (if you do bring one) since they have limited parking spaces.

As you can see their half court basketball is also located at the parking area and whenever there is space, some guests play here, so park at your own risk!

During this trip of ours, we were lucky that Jem's older sister allowed us to bring one of their cars hehe. Our trip to Laresio became our first official road trip!

GETTING THERE

We left Manila some time after 4AM and simply entered Laresio Lakeside Resort & Spa in Waze. Luckily they were registered and our trip became hassle and traffic free because of Waze's traffic hacks.

We chose the shortest route of getting there and arrived at Laresio some time after 6AM. We headed south until we reached the entry of SLEX in Nichols and continued on until Calamba. From there, we turned to Ibayo Rd (Milagros-Bucal Bypass) then to National Highway, then to Bagong Kalsada.

We followed the purple route and paid PHP 100.00+ for our toll.

THE PLACE

Once you reached the gate of the resort, you'll be greeted and guided by one of their guards. You'll also be paying PHP 20.00/person for the environmental fee since the resort uses one of the lakes here in Laguna called Tadlac or Alligator Lake.

Once you have parked your car, you simply have to head over the lobby to check-in.

We were introduced to the different packages they offered by the person manning the reception area. Thanks to the internet, we were already quite knowledgeable about the packages and simply paid the PHP 1000.00 per head camping package fee.

We were given a hand band which indicates what part of the resort we have access to. We were also instructed to not remove it during the entirety of our stay (worry not since it is water-proof! there's no way it'll come off during one of your activities). Aside from that we were also provided with our breakfast meal stub as well as signed the waiver of the resort.

The camping package comes with the "All Wet Access". This includes all the activities located at the lake. The exclusions are zip line, rock climbing, and rappelling.

We were told that since there's only two of us, we can set-up our camp beside the kiddie pool. Although they have actual camping grounds located across the lake. You'll be needing to cross the lake via the balsa/raft to get there.

The place is called Biak na Bato because of its shape which is literally a stone bridge cut in the middle. We talked to one of their staff and we're told that should we be going there, we'll have to pay PHP 200.00 since it's only going to be two of us. Another thing is, we'll have to leave the resort by 6PM for the last trip.

Because of that, we decided on camping beside the kiddie pool as what the person at the reception suggested. Before 8 AM, we started setting up our camp and rest for a while.

Kiddie Pool in front of our camping area

After setting up, we decided on trying out the kiddie pool then after some time, we head on over to the lake side.

First off, probably the easiest one from all their extreme water activities, the Vine Swing!

Next, the 13 ft. Cliff Diving!

Then, the Slip n' Fly!

After that, we decided to rest for a while since all the activities really pumps you up! Aside from that, my knees felt like spaghetti HAHA.

If you'd like to check out how you looked while doing some of the activities, they have photographers posted all over the lake side. You can check out the outputs at their booth beside the spa.

For PHP 150.00, you can have one picture printed on a photo paper and have all the other soft copies. They also offer two wallet sized printed photo for PHP 200.00 along with the soft copies of all your other photos.

For your food needs, they have their in-house restaurant which serves food from morning to evening. It's also the place where you can purchase some beers for the night. This is also the place where you'll present your stub for your free breakfast.

Since the sun was already at its highest point, we decided to chill at our tent where we also ate our packed lunch. Since there really isn't much to do at the resort, we decided on staying at the lobby so we could cool our heads and bodies off. We also did some people watching by the lake side.

One of their pools where the movies are being played at night.
During our stay though, it was rented by a company having an outing.

Rock climbing and rappelling

Trampoline and board slide by the lake

Kuya Lifeguard sometimes acts as the person who jumps down the BLOB to ensure a sure fly!

Zip line!

Their biggest pool (at the back) and shallowest kiddie pool (front) -
these pools are sort-of a hot spring as what is Laguna known for.

The life vest rental area. You'll be needing to surrender an ID for your group should you be borrowing one.
Also, the time limit is 2 hours, although you can return and re-register should you still need it.

BLOB!

Floating basketball court where the 3-point shoot out commences.

The death-defying 32 ft. Cliff Dive! Life vests are not allowed when jumping at this height for safety purposes.
No need to be scared though since there are nets surrounding the lake.

Kayak - for the All Wet Access, a limit of 30 minutes will be set for the rental. Life vests are required when renting kayaks.

32 ft. Slip n' Fly!

By late afternoon, when the sun was already setting, we decided on playing for another round of extreme activities!

When it suddenly rained, we rested for a bit at the floating raft before heading over to the rental of kayak boats.

We tested our strength and amateur navigational skills to get to Biak na Bato camping grounds!
Though we were not allowed to dock at the said area #sad

After returning our kayaks, we watched a game of 3 point shoot-out at the floating basketball court. The host announced that it was only offered during Saturdays and only costed PHP 50.00 to join. Of course a cash prize is also offered based on the number of participants.

After that, it was announced that a live band as well as a comedy duo will be performing starting at 6 PM, so that's something to look forward to during your stay!

The stage as prepared by the staff while we waited for the band and comedy duo.

The stage is located beside the lake side activity area and in front of the bigger pools.

The show lasted until 10 PM and it was really fun to watch especially because of the duo Vodka and Baby James :)) We washed up by late night and decided to chill for the night until sleepiness brushed our eyes.

We woke up pretty early since there were already people playing at the kiddie pool and because of the heat of the sun. We had our breakfast at the Tavern and quickly changed to our swimming attires.

We played at the lake side activity area once again before washing up.

Oh and for your information, their CR and shower area are very clean! Especially the one located behind the Tavern ;)

By 10-11AM, we packed up our stuff and decided on heading home.
